Essential oils… I think recently this has been a topic that has popped up everywhere recently. I had never really used essential oils except for in a diffuser. I really enjoyed using it in my diffuser because just the sense of having peppermint or lavender in my room made me feel a whole lot better. But using essential oils for possible health benefits was not something I had ever really thought about. Sydney reached out to me and told me about some of the ways that essential oils can help you out.

Like I said I didn’t really know much about essential oils and I had done zero research so getting to hear from someone who knows her stuff about essential oils was super interesting. Sydney was able to tell me about what she knows and well she has the knowledge about them and was able to help me out and picking the oils that would best suit me and what that I needed from them. Sydney asked me “If essential oils could do anything for you what would you want them to do”? So of course I told her first and for most to help me relieve tension. I like working out because it’s something that gets my body moving, relieves stress, allows me to get my mind off things and to honestly makes myself feel better and getting active. The downside to working out for me is that I get terrible tension headaches. If I work out I feel great at the moment but after a day or two I get this terrible feeling in my neck and it’s just because of tension. I’ve gone to the doctor for it and the chiropractor and nothing really seem to hundred percent work. Taking meds was not an option for at all. Sydney was kind enough to send me a blend of oils in this little roller to put it in spots where I felt tension. She made a tension blend with peppermint Panaway and Coaiba. So of course I used it for a couple days so I could really feel it working. When I would feel like I would start to get some tension mainly around my neck I would use the roller with the oils in it and massage on the area that I felt pain. It helped a little to relieve some tension and a plus side it smelled great! It was a great way to get the tension in my neck to relax after an intense workout or from a long day at work.

I think the favorite sample that she sent me was the Cool Azul pain relief cream. Along with the tension blend this helped the tension in my neck. I used this relief cream to help out when it was hurting pretty bad. I got to say that this was my favorite sample that I got because you would just feel it working right away! It would get pretty hot but not to the point where I was uncomfortable and you could feel it cooling off and relieving some of the tension I had. Again this was my favorite!

Sydney also sent me some panaway which was great for muscle support after working out! I used some to help my muscles in the areas where I typically carry lots of tension or was pretty sore. Around my neck and shoulders was where I used it. Sydney also suggested mixing it with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or olive oil which makes it easier to massage it in.

Lastly she sent me a sample of frankincense, which is great for skin support! I told Sydney that anything I could use for skin care that was more natural I would love to try. What we use on our skin should be something we are really conscious about. All things natural is the best in my opinion!

It was interesting to use these essentials oils in different ways and see how all of them serve a different purpose. Ultimately I learned something new at the end of my time trying these samples out. Essential oils all serve a different purpose for everyone. Whether it be for your home, relieve stress, benefit your health and so on, they are useful for so many different things! If you are ever interested in trying out essentials oils I think it never hurts to try! I was not very educated in this department so working with Sydney was an eye-opener and seeing all the ways essentials oils can be used was so interesting! I loved working with Sydney and was a beneficial collaboration! Thank you for sending me these samples and taking the time to make the blends!
