The Beginning

Okay so I started off this journey and it seems super crazy and weird. You log into Instagram and you see people posting and talking on their stories and posts and wonder, well can I do that? You see a wide range of things through social media. Sometimes instead of benefiting you, you can become envious of the life that others are living and desiring the life that they have instead of your own. I don’t know about you but I have unfollowed a countless amount of people on my own personal social media accounts. Why you may ask? Well because following certain accounts and even people I personally knew was not benefiting me in my personal life. When you let something affect you and who you are and the life that you have and that no longer seems enough that’s when it’s time to cut it off. Social media has grown immensely and I don’t think we really ever saw that coming. So guard your heart and your mind first and foremost. And remember that what you see online is merely only a smidge of what really happens in that persons life. Even with my own platform I am trying out this year. I want to share with you what I have learned and what I experience. I am definitely not perfect as we are all flawed but certainly made perfect in Gods image. So that being said wanted to share the reason behind why I am sorta doing this and why I gave this blog its name. I named my blog “The Beginning Blog”. Why? Okay well my name is Genesis, don’t think I have formally introduced myself, hey I’m new at this. The meaning of my name is literally the beginning, just as it the first book of the Bible. So the phrase “The beginning” hits close to home. When starting this project I saw it as the beginning of a new journey. As it is the meaning my name and I am venturing off into something new and completely out of my comfort zone. Everything starts somewhere so this is my beginning and hopefully will grow into something more. But for now this is where I will start. Whether it be faith based encouragement, fun ideas, baking or food, clothes, honestly whatever, I want to share something that could help or impact someone out there. Even if it is just one person who has interest in what I have to say the beginning of my journey will have been worth it. So when you open up Instagram or whatever social media platform and think, “Can I do that?. The answer is yes. Whatever your beginning is trust in yourself and venture of into something that will benefit you and your beliefs!
